15,750 Saplings Planted Across Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal
"We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children." This belief inspires every step of Roopaantar's environmental journey.
At Roopaantar, we believe that meaningful change begins with small, consistent actions that grow into lasting impact. Every sapling planted is a step towards restoring nature, strengthening ecosystems and building a healthier future for people and the planet.
Driven by this vision, we have planted 15,750 saplings across Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, we created an Urban Miyawaki Forest by planting 8,250 native saplings. Taking this mission beyond city landscapes, our Treevolution Initiative in Jhargram, West Bengal, resulted in the plantation of 7,500 saplings, transforming urban land into a dense, self-sustaining forest that supports biodiversity, improves air quality, absorbs carbon and creates cooler, greener spaces for communities.
Even where concrete left little room for nature, we found a way to bring greenery back. In areas where conventional plantation was not feasible due to bridges, roads and dense urban infrastructure, we installed 600 plantation drums, creating vibrant green spaces amidst the urban landscape.
For us, plantation is not an event—it is a long-term commitment to ecological restoration. Every tree represents hope, resilience and our collective responsibility towards the environment. As these saplings grow into forests, they will provide cleaner air, healthier soil, habitat for wildlife and a greener future for generations to come.
Years from now, these saplings will stand as forests, reminding us that the greatest legacy we can leave behind is a healthier planet for future generations.
