The Development Commissioner for Handicrafts (Ministry of Textiles) champions the Preservation and Promotion of India’s rich Handicraft Heritage, with a Mandate to Support Artisans, Sustain Traditional Skills and expand Market Access for Vulnerable artisan communities across the country.
As an Empanelled Partner, Roopaantar collaborates with the Development Commissioner to deliver Targeted Training, Design Intervention and Capacity‑Building Programs that Strengthen Artisanal Competencies.
