FROM QUITE DREAM TO SUSTAINABLE REALITY

FROM QUITE DREAM TO SUSTAINABLE REALITY

“Confidence is the most beautiful thing a woman can wear.”

With a quiet dream of self‑reliance and a heavy heart of hesitation, Jyoti Pathote enrolled in Project Soundarya, Roopaantar Nature and Health Organisation’s Beautician Skill Training. Lacking formal education and unsure that her passion could support her family, she arrived timid but determined. Roopaantar’s structured curriculum combined technical instruction—basic grooming, advanced beauty services and hygiene—with hands‑on practice, mentorship and soft‑skills coaching in communication and client management. Trainers nurtured her abilities and rebuilt her confidence, turning uncertainty into competence.

Within two to three months of completing the course, Jyoti began offering Home‑Based Beautician Services. Gradually her clientele expanded and her monthly income rose to ₹10,000–₹12,000, enabling improved household stability and greater prospects for her children. More than earnings, Jyoti gained recognition and dignity in her community; she is now regarded as a skilled professional and an example of resilience.

Roopaantar’s timely intervention transformed a Quiet Aspiration into a Sustainable Livelihood. By pairing Vocational Training with Mentorship and Market‑Oriented Guidance, Project Soundarya not only equips women with employable skills but also restores agency and self‑respect—demonstrating how targeted support can convert individual potential into lasting social and economic empowerment.

“Strength is not just about what you can bear, but how you rebuild when everything is taken away.”

Life had tested Kavita Hardiya in the most difficult ways. A widow and mother of three children, she was left alone after her family abandoned her during her most vulnerable hour. With no professional skills and three young lives depending on her, the future looked like a dark, uncertain road.

At this critical stage, Roopaantar Nature and Health Organisation became a turning point in her life. Roopaantar focuses on identifying and supporting women and individuals who truly need livelihood opportunities, especially those who are Widowed, Abandoned or Economically Vulnerable.

Through its Sui Dhaga Skill Training Program, Roopaantar provided Kavita with practical training in stitching and tailoring, starting from the basics. With continuous guidance and encouragement from the Roopaantar team, she gained the confidence to turn this skill into a livelihood opportunity.

After completing the training, Kavita started a small home-based stitching unit and began taking orders within her neighbourhood. Within just three months, she started earning ₹8,000–₹10,000 per month, creating a stable source of income for her family and supporting her children’s needs.

Starting from very basic of stitching and tailoring, she didn’t just learn to sew; she stitched together a new identity.

Today, Kavita is no longer a victim of her circumstances; she stands as a confident and self-reliant entrepreneur. Her journey reflects how Roopaantar’s skill development initiatives help vulnerable women rebuild their lives with Dignity, Independence and Hope. 🌱

Threads of Triumph: Shanno’s Stitch to Strength

Shanno Kuril lived a simple life shadowed by limited opportunities and her husband’s meagre earnings. With no formal education, she quietly hoped to learn a skill that could change their future. Roopaantar’s Sui Dhaga program brought that hope within reach, offering beginner-friendly stitching lessons.

At first, Shanno’s hands fumbled with Thread and Fabric, but Patient Trainers turned each mistake into progress. She learned to cut patterns, sew neat seams and craft blouses and suits that sold. As her confidence grew, so did her orders and income. Today she earns ₹10,000–₹12,000 monthly, providing better food, school supplies and hope for her children.

Roopaantar did more than teach stitches; it created a supportive network, supplied material, turning individual gains into community momentum.

Today, Shanno sits at her sewing machine with a calm smile. Her hands move with the ease of someone who has earned her craft. She saves a portion of her income, invests in better tools, and dreams of training other women in her village. Where there was once scarcity, there is now possibility. Where there was once silence about potential, there is now conversation, plans, and the steady hum of sewing machines.

Shanno Kuril’s journey is a testament to what happens when community, training, and belief come together. One needle, one determined pull, mends not only fabric but destinies. Roopaantar’s Sui Dhaga program did more than teach stitches; it wove a safety net of skills, confidence, and economic resilience that will hold generations.

“Every stitch by Roopaantar-trained hands weaves resilience, income and pride.”

Shivani’s Style Triumph

Blush of Bravery: Shivani’s Glow-Up from Gloom to Glam

Amid the crowded corners of Kushwaha Ji ka Bagicha, Shivani Kundle’s early years were a faded canvas—School ending after class 8, not for want of color, but because family survival painted over her dreams.

Her mother toiled over Hostel Kitchens, her father labored on Construction Dust and Shivani hustled for scraps of work. Beneath the grind, though, simmered a hidden artistry, yearning for brushes and brushes of possibility.

Project Soundarya’s Beautician Training Course was her mirror moment. Hands once idle now mastered Beautician Services, Makeup Magic, Hair Transformations and Skincare Sorcery. Confidence ignited like perfect highlighter, propelling her from Job-Hunter to Salon Client Attendee—now thriving at a Local Parlor, earning ₹5,000–₹7,000 monthly with poise and precision.

Yet Shivani’s glow radiates further. She’s saving strokes by stroke for her own salon empire—a radiant space to uplift girls trapped in similar shadows, blending beauty with bold independence. From muted margins to makeup mastery, Shivani Kundle proves: one course, one courageous brush, rewrites any destiny.
